Alright so! The Ginnungagap is basically the gate to the demon world (aka Nifleheim. Niflheim? fuck i don't remember what spelling they use) is Tales of Symphonia verse. It was originally guarded by Ratatosk, the summon spirit, who kept it all nice and shut and junk. But then Mithos was a dick and ruined everything ever (ok not entirely but I like to blame everything on him).

BUT ANYWAY, right now it is ... not entirely as stable as it used to be but IT'S STILL PRETTY GOOD! what this means for any characters who can read demonic energy this thing is going to be like. OH GOD GIANT GLOWING PORTAL HELL MOUTH JESUS CHRIST. at the moment no one can really get into it unless Ratatosk decides to open it for whatever reason which he. probably won't.
